| Residents from Charlotte Hall Veterans Home (CHVH) recently enjoyed a memorable and meaningful trip to Annapolis, Maryland’s historic capital. The visit offered a unique opportunity for residents to engage with state leadership while experiencing the rich history of the city.
During their time in Annapolis, residents met with members of the Tri-County delegation, as well as elected officials, delegates, senators, and representatives from the Veterans Caucus. A highlight of the day was the opportunity to meet Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller, creating a meaningful moment of connection and recognition for those who have served.
With the support of the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families, residents also toured the historic Maryland State House. The tour provided a firsthand look at one of the oldest state capitols in continuous legislative use, offering insight into Maryland’s government and history.
The visit concluded with lunch at Double T Diner, where residents had time to relax, reflect, and enjoy one another’s company.
Experiences like this reflect CHVH’s ongoing commitment to enhancing quality of life by creating meaningful opportunities for connection, recognition, and community engagement for the veterans we are honored to serve. |
