Memorial Day Observance at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home

May 27, 2026

At Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, residents, staff, families, and community members gathered for a Memorial Day ceremony to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice and legacy remain deeply respected and never forgotten.

The ceremony was marked by meaningful tributes and moments of reflection, highlighting the importance of remembrance and gratitude for those who served.

We extend our sincere appreciation to those who helped make this tribute possible:

• Henry E. Lackey High School JROTC Color Guard
• Chopticon High School Band for performing the National Anthem
• Logan Walsh for rendering Taps
• Miriam Moreno, CHVH Volunteer, for sharing a moving poem
• Deacon Kyte for delivering the closing prayer
• Chairman of the Maryland Veterans Home Commission, Keith Streicher

We also recognize that many additional volunteers and supporters contributed to the success of this event. If anyone was missed, we welcome their recognition and appreciation.

Thank you to everyone who attended and continues to support our veterans and the mission of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.
