| On April 7, 2026, we were proud to welcome the Check-6 Foundation to Charlotte Hall Veterans Home for a special Mission BBQ luncheon for all of our residents.
Whenever we ask our residents what they enjoy most or would like to see more of, good food is almost always their first response—and this luncheon was truly appreciated by all.
In addition to the meal, the organization made a generous donation that included ten televisions and a large amount of essential items such as toiletries, clocks, and disinfectants. These items will make a real difference in the daily lives of our residents.
Many of the veterans we serve do not have regular family support, which makes donations like this especially meaningful. It is more than just items—it is a reminder that they are supported and appreciated.
We would like to sincerely thank Robert Balzano, Founder and President, and George Onyenyeonwu, Vice President and member of the Maryland Veterans Home Commission, for their continued leadership and commitment.
The Check-6 Foundation has supported our Home multiple times throughout the year, and their ongoing generosity continues to have a lasting impact on our veterans.
