Celebrating 25 Years...

Volunteers

Throughout the year, Charlotte Hall Veterans Home has over 400 active volunteers, including individuals and Veteran and Community Organizations. In 2011, these generous people and groups gave more than 11,000 hours of time providing an opportunity to offer a helping hand and a chance to make new friends by "Serving Those Who Served."

Volunteers contribute in customer service areas by assisting residents with activities such as arts and crafts projects, collecting information for oral history interviews with residents, running bingo, conducting religious services, computer mentors, and many other services that enhance the quality of our residents' lives. In addition to day-to-day activities and functions, volunteers also contribute their spare time to participate in special events such as Veterans Day and Memorial Day celebrations.

If you are interested in donating your time and talents to the Veterans Home, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 301-884-8171, press 1 and then enter ext. 664.
