Volunteers

If you are interested in donating your time and talents to Maryland Veterans, please call Charlotte Hall Veterans Home’s Volunteer Coordinator, Frank Maguire at 301-884-8171 x1483.

Throughout the year, Charlotte Hall Veterans Home has over 400 active volunteers, including both individuals and groups. In 2006, these generous people gave more than 10,000 hours of time. We offer an opportunity to give others a helping hand and a chance to make new friends by “Serving Those Who Served”.

Volunteers contribute in customer service areas by assisting residents with activities such as collecting oral history, running bingo, conducting religious services, computer mentors, and many other services that enhance the quality of our residents’ lives.  In addition to day to day activities and functions, volunteers also contribute their spare time to participate in special events such as Veterans Day and Memorial Day celebrations.
