The State of Maryland contracts out the management services of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. A private contractor, currently HMR of Maryland, LLC, provides administrative, medical, nursing, social services, activities, volunteer services, dietary, rehabilitation therapy, housekeeping, security, laundry and maintenance.

The State Staff at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home is responsible for: monitoring the management contract and oversight of the contractor for resident care and facility maintenance; oversight of state land, facilities, equipment, budget and resident advocacy; and maintains relations with federal and state agencies, veteran and community organizations.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Charlotte Hall Veterans Home is seeking volunteers with
4x4 vehicles to assist in transporting nursing staff to/from the veterans home in the event of future snow emergencies. Volunteers must possess a valid driver's license. If interested, please contact the Director of Community Outreach at (301)884-8171 x483 or email kcoughlan@hmrmd.com
