Employment

Charlotte Hall is operated under contract with the State of Maryland by Health Management Resources of Maryland, LLC (HMR).  The Home is managed by the Executive Director, an employee of the MDVA, and the Administrator, employed by HMR.  The majority of the staff at the Home are employees of HMR, and NOT employees of the State of Maryland.  HMR employees are recruited through the HMR Human Resources Office.

HMR normally has positions available for nursing and a number of other positions.  Persons interested in positions with HMR may contact the HMR Human Resources Office for information concerning vacancies and how to apply.

The State of Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs office at Charlotte Hall normally does NOT have vacancies.  Vacancies for State positions are filled from State eligibility lists or from advertisements for specific positions, and applications are not taken unless a vacancy has been published.

It is the policy of both the State of Maryland and Health Management Resources to recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job titles, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability, and to base decisions on employment so as to further the principle of equal employment opportunity.

If you are interested in employment with HMR, you may apply on line at the website listed below, or visit the Human Resources Office at the Veterans Home.
